Road Safety Strategy Consultation
Commissioner John Campion is launching his Road Safety Strategy. The Road Safety Strategy outlines the PCC’s commitment to tackling road safety issues and sets out the vision for delivering a more effective response. It has three key themes:
- Reducing Casualties through Prevention;
- Effective Enforcement; and
- Offender Rehabilitation and Victim Support.
Whilst West Mercia’s roads are comparatively safer than others, too many people are still being killed and seriously injured. A partnership approach is key to seeing this number consistently reduce.
Views are being sought to inform the development of the final Road Safety Strategy and give you the opportunity to improve road safety in West Mercia. The consultation will run until Friday 15th May, you can review the draft strategy here and the survey can be accessed via this link.
