About the Role

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that all planned and reactive repair works and associated FM support tasks are effectively co-ordinated across a number of Estates Assistants, external contractors and a variety of buildings.

To ensure customer satisfaction by leading a team of customer facing staff to achieve the agreed service levels on all sites. 

Main Responsibilities

  1. Ensuring that the sites are organised and comply with general workplace health,
    safety and welfare requirements
  1. To ensure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements are in place and wherever necessary dynamic risk assessments are conducted to ensure compliance with the H&S at Work Act
  2. Successful completion of helpdesk derived reactive and planned preventative maintenance, both supervising in house workforce and delivering multi-trade/ maintenance repairs from the Estates approved suppliers
  3. To undertake H&S inspections and audits on an ad hoc basis for works carried out in the region and by teams. To assist in monitoring the safety and quality of work carried out by suppliers and contractors and to report any instances of unsafe working practices which don’t adhere to risk assessments or method statements.
  4. To interpret data from the CAFM system in a meaningful way and to analyse reports in order to drive efficiency and find better ways of working.
  5. To carry out monthly Toolbox talks with team members in line with the annual
    tool box talk calendar and record attendance.
  6. To work with the Building Surveyors, Project Managers and Facilities Managers in helping to plan and deliver office moves across floors and across buildings to agreed programmes and deadlines.

  8. To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.
