Road Focus Driver Training Session

20th November 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

Sanden Driver Training, Long Lane, Throckmorton, WR10 2JH

As part of a joint campaign between West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion and Worcestershire County Council, you are getting the chance to become a better driver through ‘Roads Focus’ driver training sessions.

There are four sessions taking place, each hosting nine participants. The sessions are split into three serials, consisting of the following:

Serial 1 – Skid recognition avoidance – You will learn about skids and the different types you may face when on the road before heading out on the skid course in a custom built skid car cradle

Serial 2 – Collision avoidance drills – You will cover emergency braking drills, how to use ABS braking correctly, correct steering management and manoeuvring around obstacles at speed (up to 50mph) in an emergency situation

Serial 3 – Precision manoeuvring course – For the last part of the session, you will cover a tight course comprising of slalom and garage drills that improves confidence in manoeuvring vehicles forwards and backwards under pressure. For this one you’ll be against the clock!

To encourage more people to take part in this great course, the PCC is funding 50% so you only need to pay £50 +VAT

Availability is limited, in order to allow the instructors to work closely with participants, so please click here to register now.

If you have any questions, please contact Lizi Platts at opcc@westmercia.pnn.police.uk.
