Holding to Account
It is a key element of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s role to hold the Chief Constable to account on behalf of local communities.
In 2019 the PCC will be holding a series of thematic meetings, two public Facebook live events, when members of the public can submit questions and a number of ‘virtual’ holding to account meetings. The virtual meetings enable the PCC to challenge the Chief Constable outside of the agreed meeting dates.
The notes from all the meetings are published below.
|January 2019||Review of 2018 issues|
|Virtual – Serious acquisitive crime|
|March 2019||Child vulnerability|
|April 2019||Roads policing|
|June 2019||Rural crime|
|September 2019||Local Policing|
|November 2019||Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking (MSHT)|
|January 2020||Investigations & Outcomes|
