FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 – INFORMATION REQUEST
Request:
1) How much did it cost to set up and move the police service from the old Redditch police station to the Kingfisher shopping centre?
2) How much did it cost to move the police service from the Kingfisher shopping centre to the new police station?
3) How much did the new Redditch police station cost? Total project cost.
4) Is there a front desk at the new Redditch police station, if not why?
5) How many cells are there at the new Redditch police station?
6) If there are no cells, how much does it cost to move someone to a cell at another police station?
Response:
1) The works required to set up the temporary facility in the Kingfisher Centre cost £1,418,194.60. The relocation costs for moving were £16,187.
2) The relocation move costs from the Kingfisher Shopping Centre to the new station was £12,323 + VAT.
3) The total cost of the station including land, prelims and build cost was (subject to final accounting) £20,312,625.84.
4) There is no front desk provided at the new Redditch Police Station. There is a digital kiosk installed as well as an intercom system for Police and Fire.
5) There are no cells at the new Redditch Police station.
6) No information held.
