FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 – INFORMATION REQUEST

Request

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like you to provide me with the following information: Are there any operational police stations within your force area where parking facilities are not provided for Police Officers free of charge?

Response

Please see the below response to your request.

Regarding the parking of Police Officer personal vehicles; the vast majority of Police premises have nonchargeable parking on site for both operational and personal vehicles, and is on a first come, first served basis.

On the small number of sites where parking capacity is limited, those staff members that park outside the curtilage of the Police station pay, but those that park within it, do not.
At premises where the Police Force is a tenant, there are often non-chargeable designated and other spaces available.

Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write to the Information Compliance Unit; Information Compliance Unit, PO Box 55, Worcester, WR3 8SP. Email: [email protected]

Yours sincerely,

FOI Officer

West Mercia PCC
