FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 – INFORMATION REQUEST
Request:
1) I would like to know and have a breakdown of the costs associated with the recent 62 million pounds that has been spent on the West Mercia Police and Crime commissioner’s office and department this includes any staff pay increase along with the PCC himself.
2) I would also like know and have a breakdown of the costs associated with the recent 3.1 million pounds given to the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner for recruitment of new PSCOs under the neighbourhood policing grant.
Response:
1) Your request is exempt under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, on the basis that the information you have requested is already reasonably accessible. 2) Breakdown of costs:
- Newly recruited officers (12) – £806k
- Redeployment of officers following recruitment of police staff (19) – £1,046k
- PCSO additionality to front line (20) – £1,146k
- Recruitment of specials (15) – £110k
Total spend – £3,108k
