PCC John Campion said
“I welcome this news today from the National Police Chiefs Council in their warning to violent men who harm women in society. This supports my commitment to the women and girls of West Mercia who I continuously promise to fight hard for to ensure that they not only are safe but also feel safe.
“I believe this move to enhance the action against violent men is supporting the much needed societal change to bring ownership on the perpetrators not just for individuals to protect themselves.
“My Safer West Mercia Plan has a specific focus to support the victims from Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin but also work with perpetrators to prevent reoffending and offer early intervention services.”
