As part of his commitment to reduce the impact of policing on the environment, PCC John Campion has invested in an electric vehicle charging station for Worcester Police Station.

The new charging station is just another step in the PCC’s commitment to reforming West Mercia Police and reducing the carbon footprint. The station will support the growing fleet of electric vehicle (EV) police vehicles, as well as allowing police officers, who need an accessible charging station, to be able to continue their patrols and to be visible in the community.

Looking to the future, the charging station has the ability to allow further chargers to be added as the EV fleet continues to grow.

PCC John Campion said: “I am pleased to be able to provide this much-needed infrastructure now in operation at Worcester Police station.

“Reform is a key pillar in my Safer West Mercia Plan, particularly reducing the impact policing has on the environment and ensuring the police have the resources and tools they need to be able to conduct their work in the most sustainable way possible.”
