Saturday (19 November) is #InternationalMensDay with this year’s theme focused on ‘helping men & boys.’

Your Police and Crime Commissioner, John Campion is committed to empowering men and boys to come forward when something is wrong.

Over the past 5 years there has been an increase in referrals to West Mercia Women’s Aid around male victims of domestic violence. To combat this rise and offer support to victims, your PCC has funded a full-time Men and Boys Independent Domestic Violence Advocate.

The advocate works closely with partner agencies to better understand the stigma and barriers men and boys face when reporting domestic abuse. They also support victims through the court process while reducing risk with safety planning at the forefront of their work.
