The Police and Crime Commissioner has commended West Mercia Police officers who brought a murderer to justice.

David Clark was jailed yesterday for 15 years for the murder of his wife Melanie on New Years Eve at their home in Bromsgrove.

Commissioner John Campion said “I’d like to commend all officers and staff for their bravery and tenacity in dealing with this case. Officers were faced with a challenging situation, and were able to swiftly charge the offender and build a case which brought him to justice. The investment I made, in body worn video, played a part in the prosecution and our communities should be reassured by the efficient and effective work of our police force shown in this and many other cases.”
