PCC John Campion is seeking views from West Mercia’s communities ahead of setting next year’s policing budget.

As part of the PCC’s ongoing commitment to take feedback from communities and use it to shape his decision making, he is seeking views for his 2022 budget. Over the next four weeks, the communities of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Worcestershire have the chance to have their say via a public survey.

The survey will ask people about their priorities, what concerns they have where they live and how much they would be willing to pay for the policing element of their council tax.

PCC John Campion said: “Ahead of setting the policing budget for next year, I am seeking the views of communities to ensure they are at the heart of the decisions I make.

“I am urging people to take the time to have their say, as this is about their police force and this is their money. It is extremely helpful when I can understand more about the public and what they want and need in order to feel safe.”

The consultation closes on Monday 3rd January 2022.
