PCC John Campion is sharing his selection box of commitments to communities this Christmas.

After gathering views and concerns from residents of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Worcestershire, the PCC has confirmed his focus for creating a safer West Mercia – putting victims and survivors first, building a more secure West Mercia, reforming West Mercia and reassuring West Mercia.

This Christmas, a series of videos will feature the PCC choosing a ‘chocolate’ from his Safer West Mercia selection box to illustrate the choices he has made for communities. This includes protecting the most vulnerable, reducing crime and the harm caused, as well as ensuring West Mercia Police are visible and accessible.

PCC John Campion said: “This Christmas, I wanted to reinforce my commitment to West Mercia’s communities by highlighting the choices I’ve made for them. I wanted communities to be heard, so I could understand their concerns, which is how I’ve shaped my police and crime plan.

“One element of my plan is about empowering communities. We can all play our part in helping to keep each other safe so that we can all enjoy a very Merry Christmas.”
